Law enforcement officer (in the ranks of inspector/senior inspector/acting inspector) in the Royal Hong Kong Police Force for over 15 years. Awarded the Commissioner of Police’s Commendation for Leadership, Professional skills, Dedication and Devotion to Duty of an Exceptionally High order in 1985


Career Highlights:

Acted for a major bank in a high profile and long drawn litigation with a group of companies leading to the winding-up of various companies within the group and bankruptcy of the directors and recovery of multi-billion assets (inclusive of a multi-million dollars barge) in favour of the bank

Acted for a major financial institution in a high profile contentious winding up proceedings against a company and its scheme of arrangement as part of S.E. Asia’s largest debt restructuring


Professional Experience:

Worked as assistant solicitor at the Hong Kong office of two major London Admiralty and insurance law firms as well as associate solicitor at two of Hong Kong’s largest law firms handling and actively involving in all aspects of litigation advice and procedures in commercial, shipping and insolvency litigation cases

Acted for a broad range of clients in contentious matters in the area of banking, insolvency and international trade advising on defaulting accounts, recovery strategies and enforcement of security/foreign judgments/arbitration awards in Hong Kong etc.

General non-contentious insolvency practice (e.g. members’ voluntary liquidation).

Participated in the International Tall Ship Festival, Osaka, Japan as one of the all-girl-crew members of the Hong Kong Outward Bound Brigantine “Ji Fung” having sailed 2,072 nautical miles from Hong Kong in 1983
